Chemical Name: PSEUDOEPHEDRINE (soo-doe-e-FED-rin), methscopolamine (meth-skoe-POL-a-meen), and CHLORPHENIRAMINE (klor-fen-EER-a-meen)

Common uses
Allerx Dose Pack is a decongestant and anticholinergic combination and an antihistamine and anticholinergic combination used to relieve congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes due to colds, flu, or hay fever. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your physician.

Prior to Use
Be aware that pre-existing medical conditions, or taking additional medications could interfere with the effectiveness of this one. Let your physician or pharmacist know about any other medications -- prescription or over-the-counter -- that you are using. If you are taking any of the following, do not use Allerx Dose Pack: furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). If you are taking any of the following, your dose or condition may need regular supervision: bromocriptine, guanadrel, guanethidine, or medicine to alkalinize the urine. Inform your physician of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. You should not take Allerx Dose Pack if you have a history of megacolon. If you have questions or concerns about Allerx Dose Pack, be sure to let your physician or pharmacist know.

Instructions for Use
Follow your physician's instructions for taking Allerx Dose Pack or on the package. Swallow whole Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Take the yellow tablet in the morning and the blue tablet in the evening. Allerx Dose Pack may be taken with food if it upsets your stomach. It is best to keep Allerx Dose Pack away from heat and light, at room temperature. If you miss a dose of Allerx Dose Pack and you are using it regularly, begin using it immediately. If it is almost time for your next dose, omit the skipped dose and continue to follow your original dosing schedule. Never take more than one dose at the same time.

Warnings
Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Allerx Dose Pack. Using Allerx Dose Pack alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. Allerx Dose Pack will add to the effects of alcohol and other depressants. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines are depressants. Do not become overheated in hot weather or during exercise or other activities since heat stroke may occur while you are using Allerx Dose Pack. Allerx Dose Pack may cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight. Wearing sunglasses may help. Do not use diet or appetite control medicines while you are taking Allerx Dose Pack without checking with your physician. Before you begin taking any new medicines, either prescription or over-the-counter, consult your pharmacist or physician .

Potential Side Effects
Side effects, that may go away during treatment, include nervousness, dizziness, trouble sleeping or drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, nausea, constipation, or headache. Consult your physician if they do not go away or if they bring you difficulties. Consult your physician immediately if you experience vomiting. An allergic reaction to Allerx Dose Pack is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. Let your physician, pharmacist, or nurse know if you experience any side-effects not listed here.

Drug interactions
Drug interactions can result in unwanted side effects or prevent a medicine from doing its job.

In Case of Overdose
Contact a poison control center or visit an emergency room immediately, if you think you have overdosed. Indications of an overdose are vomiting, irregular heartbeat, numbness or tingling in arms or legs, seizures, large pupils, hot or cool skin, dry mouth, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, and slowed or shallow breathing.

Additional information
If your symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if you develop a high fever or persistent headache, check with your physician. Do not let anyone else use Allerx Dose Pack. Do not take Allerx Dose Pack to treat health conditions other than what it was prescribed for. Store this and all medication away from the reach of children and pets.
